A family, a ranch, and one very good dog.
Recon Ranch Pups is a small family operation on ten acres in Georgetown, Texas, about thirty minutes north of Austin.
Ten acres of Hill Country, a lot of animals, and Maggie in the middle of it.
We keep chickens, goats, emus, guineas, ducks and a few other dogs on the property. Maggie came to us as a puppy and grew up alongside all of them, and somewhere along the way she became the one who looks after everyone else. Watching her with the ducklings is what convinced us she should be a mother.
We're not a kennel. Maggie lives in the house and on the porch and wherever the animals are. Her puppies will be raised the same way, underfoot and outside, until they're old enough to go home with you.
Temperament first, health close behind.
We chose Maggie for her nature and Sonny for his health and coat. Sonny was DNA-tested clear on the six inherited conditions that matter most in Poodles before the pairing, and we're glad to share the report with approved families.
We'd rather place a puppy with the right family than with the first one, so we ask everyone to fill out an application and we take our time reading them. If you have questions we haven't answered, we'd love to hear them.
