About these puppies
Size
Standard Bernedoodles. Most will land between 60 and 90 pounds full grown, with a sturdy build from Maggie's side.
Coat
Sonny carries two copies of both the curl gene and the furnishings gene, so every puppy will have the fluffy, bearded Bernedoodle face. Coats will most likely be wavy: somewhere between Maggie's straight coat and Sonny's curls. First-generation Bernedoodles are usually lighter shedders than a Bernese, but they are not non-shedding and we don't advertise them as hypoallergenic.
Colors
Sonny is sable and carries tan point; Maggie is a classic tri-color Berner. That combination can produce both sable puppies and traditional black-rust-and-white tri-color puppies, often with white markings on the chest and face. We'll post photos of each puppy as soon as they arrive.
Temperament
Bernedoodles are affectionate, a little goofy, and happiest with their people. Ours will spend nine weeks with Maggie and the farm animals before they leave, which is the best socialization we know how to give.
A $500 deposit holds your place in line and is applied to the purchase price. The balance is due when you pick up your puppy.

Sonny's genetic panel
Sonny is a three-year-old sable Standard Poodle. Before the pairing he was DNA-tested through Animal Genetics for the inherited conditions that matter most in Poodles and Doodles. He came back clear on every one, meaning he does not carry the mutation and cannot pass it to a puppy.

Good things to know
Can we visit before we commit?
Yes. Once your application is approved we're glad to have you out to the ranch to meet Maggie and see where the puppies are raised. After the puppies arrive, visits start once they've had their first vaccinations.
How do you decide who gets which puppy?
Families choose in the order deposits were received, on pick day at around six weeks. We'll share photos, personality notes and our honest opinion on which puppy suits your home before then.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits hold a spot in line and are non-refundable, with one exception: if Maggie doesn't produce enough puppies for everyone on the list, anyone who doesn't get a puppy has their deposit refunded in full or rolled to the next litter, whichever they prefer.
Are Bernedoodles hypoallergenic?
No dog truly is, and we don't advertise ours that way. These puppies will have furnished, wavy coats that typically shed less than a Bernese Mountain Dog, but you should expect some shedding and regular grooming.
Do you ship puppies?
We prefer that every puppy is picked up in person at the ranch so you can meet Maggie and we can meet you. If you're traveling from out of state, we'll help you plan the trip.
